Annie Bromham – December 2019

Anawim Arts is pleased to feature the works of Annie Bromham this month. Annie Bromham is a member of the IBVM community, living and working in St. Albans, England.

The works featured here are among her most recent paintings and can be considered individually or as a whole – a way of reflecting on the theme of “becoming.” We invite you to visit the featured artist page and spend time with these paintings and let yourself catch the “glimpse of mystery.” You can also view the artist at work in the video below.

“It is only when I pick up my paintbrush that I can honour that glimpse of mystery which is within me. I want to hear, see and feel the life that is in me as I surrender to the creative moment.”

  1. Dear Sr.
I must thank to all those who gave strength, freedom , place and allowing Sr Annie to express her thoughts through such an amazing work she is doing.
If I’ll get an opportunity I’ll visit her and promote her creativity.

  3. Now that I have had an opportunity to view the work more fully, I am deeply touched by the visual representation of connectiveness. I admire the way the motion carries from one image to the next. It is soothing to view, but at the same time the bold colors and shapes don’t shy away from the upheaval that often accompanies change/birth/re-birth. I also appreciated your thoughts on both the collective and individual elements of the trinity. Thank you again for sharing. It has been rather gloomy outside, and easy to forget all the vibrancy that lives within and around us. Beautiful work. Peace to you!
