ARTIST STATEMENT
My son, Dave, hand-picked this squash from his backyard garden on a chilly, drizzly, gray day and placed them on his patio table. When I saw how beautiful they were, I ran inside for my camera and also grabbed a platter from the kitchen. Quickly, I assembled a still life as he impatiently hurried me along from my artistic endeavor so he could make soup out of them. Hours later, it was the BEST soup I’ve ever enjoyed. Farm-to-table cooking simply cannot be beat beginning with the fall bounty of our wise and generous Mother Earth.
