Holy Women of the Ages
Sacred Voices of our Time,
Pour forth your waters of
cleansing and purification
upon the women who level decisions
that have caused grief, sorrow and fear
to women, to children, to men.
Their scars will blind their vision
every minute of every day of their lives.
Holy Women of the Ages
Sacred Voices of our Time,
Build fires in the hearts
of the women who shatter
the fabric of the life;
not only the marginalized
but everyone that witnesses and mourns the atrocities.
Holy Women of the Ages
Sacred Voices of our Time,
Stomp the soil with a dance of Justice
to warn the women whose dance of doom
plants the roots of injustice that take hold
and harvest violence and brutality.
Holy Women of the Ages
Sacred Voices of our Time,
Lift your strong arms and
fill the air with Peace, Hope and Love
to raise up the spirits of the women
who wield the power to raise
the spirits of people who live in anguish.
Holy Women of the Ages
Sacred Voices of our Time,
The power of woman energy is life-giving.
Call all the elements of Earth,
all the wisdom of the past and present,
immerse our leaders, especially the women,
in waves of kindness and compassion.
Help them to stand strong
in solidarity with our most vulnerable.
