Cedar Waxwing Series – On January 13, 2022, the crab apple tree outside my window was full of Cedar Waxwings as well as many other birds. A thaw in the weather invited to birds to dine on the tiny crab apples that had lasted through the cold and ice. Waxwings in a group are called an “earful” of waxwings or a “museum” of waxwings. Their stunning colors and their social behavior offered a morning of delight.
