This past year has been rough. Health problems, knee surgery and creative block. Finally, in the last week a surge in creative spirit. Just in time for the exhibit. Unexpected joy!
Local resident and painter, Dave Inverso, is a retired teacher, having taught in several schools in District 211. He studied art at the College of DuPage, the DuPage Art League, and with private teachers. His works have been exhibited in local venues including the Bloomingdale Library, the Schaumburg Library, Friendship Village, the Roselle Library, and the Poplar Creek Library. He also exhibits as a member of the Studios630 Club in Lombard.
Dave explains his process this way: “My recent exhibits deal with the theme of trees. In my ink and acrylic pieces, I start with water sprayed on paper and canvas. Application of ink with a dropper forms designs as the ink follows the water. The resulting designs resemble the foliage of trees. These designs allow me to express my feelings with the flow of the limbs and use of colors. Each piece is a result of my feelings as I do the piece.
