Artist’s Statement – The first submission (Trees#133) was a piece done while I was transitioning from one style to another. It was a beautiful moment when I realized what I had found. The second submission (“Again”) ended up with a nice composition, but the foreground just needed something. I painted the foreground three times over before I found that moment when I felt the foreground was right. Hence, the name of the piece.
Bio – I retired from teaching high school and took art classes at College of Du Page and various private teachers. I have always been very honored to take part in the Anawim shows.
