The 2026 Anawim Arts art show is scheduled for July 12, 2026. It will be held in Wheaton, Illinois, and on our website for participants who are not able to be present in person. Submissions are due May 30, 2026.
The theme is ‘Dare to Dream: Brokenness Needs Beauty.’ Visual art will be paired with the written word. You may submit visual art, writing, or both; visual artists may also choose to partner with a writer they know, or vice-versa.
As it happens, in the United States and Canada, April is National Poetry Month. To celebrate, our web designer, Jenifer Cartland, is posting a short poem each day on her poetry website (www.poemsfrominbetween.com) inspired by her own watercolors. Perhaps visiting her site will be a way to get your creative juices flowing!

April 11
Light filters through leaf,
half on, half off the surface --
stained glass
shines over silent pond --
and blesses this place, this day.
