Creative expression comes in all forms. It does not have to be a long and complex process. Indeed, at the intersection of creativity and spirituality, an intersection that Anawim Arts seeks to nurture, it can be spontaneous and fun.
The Anawim Arts Board often opens its meetings with a creative experience to gather everyone’s attention to this intersection. In its last meeting, members were asked to create ‘Zen doodles’ as a form of meditation. They grabbed whatever supplies they had on hand — whatever types of paper and mark makers they had on their desks — and went to work. Here are several of the Zen doodles completed by the board members.
Perhaps this is a technique you can explore, either on your own, or as you enter meetings with friends or colleagues.
